Notification of the Operating Status to the PC

5-5-2 Reading the NT11S Operating Statuses
This section explains the actual procedures used to determine the NT11S sta-
tuses and operating statuses.
In order to ascertain the NT11S operating statuses, the PT status notification bits
are used.
The NT11S automatically notifies information such as operating statuses to the PT
status notification bits in the PT status notify area (PT --> PC) allocated in the PC
memory, as follows:
Notification of operating mode : “PT operation status”
Notification of screen switching : “Screen switching strobe”
Notification of numerical value updates : “Numeral setting strobe flag”
Notification of password input mistakes : “Password input error flag”

PC) can be allocated to the PC memory areas
listed in the following table.

Procedure 1. Use the support tool to allocate the PT status notify area (PT
®
PC) to the PC
memory.
2. Write a PC program to read the “PT status” word of the PT status notify area
and check each bit status.

Report timing of PT status notification bits
The information in the PT status notify area (PT --> PC) is written to the PC
whenever there is a status change during operation of the NT11S.
