5.2 Control elements and connectors
5.2.1 Microphone and Line inputs of the mono channels
MIC
Connect your microphones via balanced XLR cables. For condenser microphones,
you can activate phantom power via the PHANTOM (+48V) switch. Please respect
the warnings under PHANTOM (+48V) switch.
LINE
Connect your line signals via balanced or unbalanced jacks.
Please note that for the mono channels, you can only use either the
microphone or the line input. Never use both simultaneously.
TRIM
Use the TRIM control to adjust the level of the input signal. The control range is
between 10 and 60 dB for the microphone signals and +10 to -40 dBu for the line
signals. The most common working levels are -10 dBV and +4 dBu marked on the
scale. This control should be fully turned counterclockwise whenever you connect
or disconnect a signal source to one of the inputs.
5.2.2 Channel section of the mono channels
HIGH
With the HIGH control, you can increase or lower the treble of the input signal at
the respective channel. This is a 12 kHz shelving equalizer with a control range of
±15 dB.
MID
With the MID control, you can increase or lower the mids of the input signal at the
respective channel. This is a 12 kHz shelving equalizer with a control range of ±15
dB.
LOW
With the LOW control, you can increase or lower the bass of the input signal at the
respective channel. This is an 80 Hz shelving equalizer with a control range of ±15
dB.
SEND
With the SEND control, you can control the signal sent to the SEND socket. The
signal is post-fader and can be used for effectors etc. Turned fully to the left, no
signal is routed to the SEND-socket. In the center position, the incoming signal is
routed without any changes and between 0 and +10 dB it is enforced, respectively.
PAN
With the PAN-control, you can position the signal of a mono input in the stereo
output. The signal level remains constant.
PEAK
When PEAK LED flashes, the input signal is driven to high, which could cause
distortion. Turn the TRIM control to the left to reduce the preamp level until the
LED does not light anymore.
LEVEL
With the LEVEL control, you can adjust the signal level of the respective input
channel in the mix.
