OVER PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE CALIBRATION CHECKING
To check the calibration of the over pressure relief valve, proceed as follows:
a) unscrew both corrugated hoses from the four ways valve mouthpiece:
b) in way of the mouthpiece place and tighten the supplied connection ATR01000. (Fig. 10);
c) connect the hose coupled to the cheking gauge;
d) open the lower tank sut-off valve in order to let the adjusted conituous flow enter the inhalation counterlung;
E) as soos as the counterlungs are full, the O.P.V. shall open, mak ing it possible to gauge the valve calibration in millibars (Fig. 11);
f) the adjustment rate value is 14 mbar with a permitted tolerance of +/- 2 mbar. Sould a resetting be necessary, the only thing to be
done is to loosen the valve locking ring on the outer top side of the cover and then slowly turn the adjusting ring nut clockwise to
increase the pressure and counter-clockwise to reduce it(Fig. 12).

Always ensure that the over pressure relief valve is calibrated within the specified range; do never attempt to
use different calibrations, as a different pressure value may lead to malfunction of the counterlungs, putting the
diver at risk of serious or even fatal accidents.
FILLING THE SCRUBBER UNIT WITH SODA LIME
To fill the scrubber unit with soda lime, proceed as follows:
a) open the cover of the outer shell;
b) loosen the retaining straps of the scrubber unit, manually unscrew the locking rings of the counterlung fittings, open the straps and
remove the scrubber unit from the shell (Fig. 13);
c) place the scrubber unit in a vertical position on a stable surface, with the cover facing upward;
d) manually turn out the cap screw to raise the cover off the scrubber unit body, remove the cover and insert the batching funnel inside
the canister to perform the filling operation (Fig. 14);
e) fit the special plug on the filter hub to prevent soda lime granules from getting into the inner section (Fig. 15);
f) using the funnel, fill the scrubber unit with the soda lime helping it to settle by lightly and repeatedly tappping against the scrubber
body with your hand. The correct quantity of soda lime to fill- up the scrubber unit is approximately 2 kg, or , anyway up to the level
indicated by the funnel (Fig. 16);
