Roller adjustment instruction:
1.
Remove both side guard or skids applied to both side panels of the frame
2.
Loosen the nut slightly by using a 24 wrench. This is nut that thightens the screw M16 supporting the roller fixing plate
3.
Loosen the other nut completely and the take screw M16 out of the adjusting hole in the side panel.
4.
Proceed with these operations also for the opposite side panel of the machine.
5.
Adjust the roller height and one you have found the required position insert the screws M16 that you had removed and tignten
the nuts.
6.
Once the adjustments are completed, fix the side guards or skids that you have removed before.
Regulation of the roller wheels
Roller
Fig.8
For best roller regulation it is necessary to:
Lift the machine
Unscrew the S bolt
Position at the chosen hole
Re-screw the S bolt
Wheels
The wheels are mounted on the rear tubular section of the haulm shredder
They rotate
They are adjustable in height: raise the machine, unscrew the bolt S and refix to the pre-chosen fixture hole (check that the 2
wheels are at the same height –fig.8-)
Warning!
These operations must be undertaken slowly with the greatest care in compliance with the safety regulations
laid down in this manual.
Choice of cutters (optional)
Hammer blades
Standard equipment of the haulm shredder
Cutters recommended when a total clean cut is required, ideal
for uncultivated terrain, grass, potatoes, beet or carrot leaves.
The counter-cutter is smooth
Universal cutters
Recommended cutters for corn, hay, rape

Rotor checks
It is necessary to check the presence and efficiency of all the cutters on the rotor each day (used or broken cutters must be replaced at
the same time as those diametrically opposite on the rotor).
Warning!
The absence of a cutter may cause the rapid deterioration of the rotor and cause vibrations. A cutter of 860g at a speed of
500 rpm exerts a force of 500 Kg on the rotor!
Warning!
These operations must be undertaken slowly and with the greatest care in compliance with the safety regulations laid
down in this manual.
Rear cowling position
Closed cowling (standard) permits:
A partial recycling of the shredded material and therefore improved working quality
In this case the power required is slightly greater
Open cowling with flaps (option) permits:
Good distribution of the shredded product on the ground
A reduced power requirement
Shredding quality/required power
In all cases, the work quality and the power required depend on:
The type of product to be cut and its humidity
The type of cutter used
Whether the product is to be recycled or not (open or closed cowling)
The working height
The tractor advance speed
Warning!
In the event that the front PTO of the tractor rotates in the direction indicated in Figure13, it is necessary to invert the
direction of rotor rotation, by overturning the over gear unit, not forgetting to invert the breather cap with the discharge cap.
In this case the PTO shaft to be used must have the free wheel on the right.
In the eve that the front PTO of the tractor rotates in the direction indicated in Fugure14, no intervention is required on the
drive unit. In this case the PTO shaft must have the free wheel on the left.
