When you use the recorder for the first time
after purchasing it, or when the batteries
have been inserted without the device
being used for a long time, the battery
type setting screen and the time/date
setting screen will appear. Also, the battery
type setting screen will appear after the
batteries are replaced.
However, when a Password has been set
as the device lock function (
☞
P.34), the
recorder will go to the battery type setting
screen and the time/date setting screen
after verification (unlocking).

Select when Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are
used.

Select when alkaline batteries are used.
• The setting status will appear on the display as [

• The time/date setting screen may appear after
displaying message [Set Time & Date]. In this
case, follow the steps given in “Setting time
and date [Time & Date]”.

If you set the time and date beforehand, the
information when the file is recorded is automatically
stored for each file. Setting the time and date
beforehand enables easier file management.
