3.5 INSERTING THE BATTERIES
Instead of being powerded by the AC/DC adapter and line voltage, the printer can also be powered by ten
1.2 to 1.5 Volt LR6/AA standard-format. They can be purchased in any hardware shop and can be of either
the disposable or rechargeable type. The rechargeable batteries have to be charged using an external battery
charger that can be purchased in any hardware store.
Proceed as follows to insert the batteries into the printer:
- Remove the battery holder from the rear of the printer.

- Remove the batteries from the holder.
- Insert the new batteries into the holder, paying attention to the polarity.
- Fit the holder back into the printer.
The battery holder must NOT be removed from the printer during transport.
The batteries need to be either replaced or recharged all at once. If the POWER LED begins to flash slowly,
another five pages can be printed. If this LED begins to flash rapidly, the batteries are low and therefore need
to be replaced.
