PLUMBING
TO FILL THE FRESHWATER TANK FROM A PORTABLE POTABLE WATER
CONTAINER (NON-PRESSURIZED):
1. Remove the cap from the rear water inlet at the rear of the travel trailer.
2. Attach a cut-off potable hose to the rear water inlet that is 2 feet max in length.
3. Insert the other end into the potable water container.
4. Go inside and change the water pump valve configuration to the boondocking mode
under the curbside access panel. (See valve configurations).
5. Turn the main water pump switch on until all water is pumped from the portable
water container into the freshwater tank.
6. When the tank is filled, turn off the water pump, turn the water pump valves back to
the normal configuration, disconnect the outside water hose and re-install the inlet
cap.
SUBURBAN WATER HEATER

The standard 6 gallon Suburban Direct Spark Ignition (DSI) water heater uses a porcelain-
lined, steel water heater tank with a replaceable anode rod to “absorb” the electrolytical
action - just like a typical water heater at home.
DRAINING AND STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS
If travel trailer is to be stored during winter months, the water heater must be drained to
prevent damage from freezing. See the Winterization section for details.
BYPASS VALVE FOR SUBURBAN WATER HEATER
You will need to bypass the water heater when winterizing and sanitizing the plumbing
system. The brass valve is located on the back of the water heater. You can access this
under the curbside seating access panels.
