To
replace
the
gathering
chain,
proceed
as
follows:
1.
Unscrew
counter
‐
nut
1.
2.
Completely
remove
screw
2.
3.
Replace
it,
installing
the
synchronized
chains.
4.
Tighten
screw
2
until
the
front
gear
3
enters
support
4,
with
a
5
‐
8
mm
stroke
before
the
complete
lock.
5.
Once
the
adjustment
is
complete,
tighten
counter
‐
nut
1.
IMPORTANT:
the
gathering
chains
should
be
positioned
so
that
the
teeth
of
one
chain
fit
into
the
space
between
the
teeth
of
the
opposite
chain.
If
the
teeth
touch
each
other
they
may
cause
breakage
or
malfunction.
To
install
it
correctly,
loosen
the
chain
and
slide
on
the
drive
gearwheel
on
the
gearbox
until
the
tabs
(teeth)
of
the
chains
fit
into
the
spaces
between
the
teeth
of
the
opposite
chains
.
IMPORTANT:
if
corn
is
lost
through
the
harvesting
system
(harvesting
unit),
immediately
check
the
correct
adjustment
and
the
level
of
efficiency
of
the
knives,
the
deck
‐
plates
and
the
positioning
of
the
chains.
