CORN
HEAD
ADJUSTMENTS
After
going
round
the
field
a
few
times,
check
the
functionality
of
the
device;
in
the
event
of
anomalies,
read
the
Troubleshooting
‐
Adjustments
chapter.
DRIVE
AND
OPERATE
WITH
CAUTION:
Drive
carefully
in
order
to
keep
the
head
centred
with
respect
to
the
rows.
Do
not
force
the
corn
head
or
the
combine
harvester
and
avoid
overloading
the
elements
of
the
main
power
supply
to
prevent
breakage.
Introduce
the
corn
head
into
the
field
at
a
low
speed,
then
increase
the
speed
to
a
rate
suitable
for
the
field
where
you
are
operating.
Pay
attention
to
any
clutch
slippage
or
other
unusual
noises.
Failure
to
run
a
correct
row
selection
may
result
in
yield
loss.
Use
the
corn
head
with
the
front
slides
at
a
height
of
about
50/80
mm
above
the
ground.
DECK
PLATES
(automatic)
The
deck
plates
(photo)
are
designed
to
pull
the
corn
cob
from
the
stalk.
The
deck
plates
self
‐
adjust
on
both
sides,
so
that
the
stalks
are
always
in
the
best
position
to
be
gathered
by
the
rollers.
This
"patented"
system
is
essential
to
guarantee
the
best
performance
of
the
corn
head
and
keep
the
loss
of
yield
to
minimum
levels.
Its
basic
adjustment
ranges
from
4
mm
at
the
back
and
+
‐
1
mm
at
the
front.
