30. MODBUS WRITE FUNCTION AND WRITING TO
DH3
In order to relay data from a third-party Modbus Master device to a point
or output in an OleumTech network, a Modbus Write function must be
created in the primary Gateway’s Modbus table. Once the function is
created, then this point can be mapped to an output or shared with
another device within the network.
Multiple Master devices connected to the DH3 all have access to write to
the same Modbus holding register(s). Last written command supersedes all
other commands.
DH3 must be set up as a Slave to allow this function.
1. Double-click on DH3 in project tree
2. Click on Modbus tab
3. Right-click inside Modbus window and select “New Write Import”
4. Provide a Name for the function and select point as an integer or
float point
