Skewing of Recording Paper The maximum allowable skew of the recording paper is
2 mm over a 100 meter roll of paper, and 1 mm over
any advance of 2 meters.

Indication of Remaining
The remaining recording paper may be viewed through
Recording Paper the window on the top cover.
34 Recording Paper Running When the paper is running out, a photosensor will

detect a series of “Low Paper” stripes and activate an
alerting circuit, which will cause LC display to indicate
“LOW PAPER”.
The OF-38 can detect the no paper condition with a
micro-switch when the paper has run out, the LC
displaywill show “NO PAPER”.

The OF-38 will continue receiving message into
memory, if the memory has space.
l
Upon termination of message reception, this can be
known by a flickering signal on the shutter LCD
indicator of the “RECEIVED IN MEMORY”.
Note: Though the OF-38 is under no paper, its
message transmitting capability will remain
valid.
Low Stripes Operator can find out a series of color stripes for the
low paper alarm, about one meter long, which are
printed on both edges of the back side of the paper.
