Specifications

Transmission Document

The documents must be rectangular in shape, and must

be placed face down on the ADF stacker.

1) Thickness

0.13

Up to 0.15 mm/single sheet

2) Shape

Documents must be rectangular in shape.

3 ) O p a c i t y

Documents must not permit more than 40% of the

scanner source light to pass through them.

4) Document skew

Maximum 2.6 mm skew over length of

the documents are loaded correctly.

5) Document stacking

Documents up to 356 mm in length, which meet the
basis weight and thickness specification.

Document Jam Detection

When the end of document is not detected within
445 mm after scanning begins (except if unlimited).

When the document does not reach the scanning

position within 5 seconds after the start of a
document feed.

Note:

When a jam is detected during message
transmission, the machine will stop, but its
receiving capability will remain valid. Should a
call arrive under this condition, the OF-38 will

print out the received message without paper

cutting function, because of the document feed

motor (which is used for paper cutting during
message reception) out of function.
