1. ADVICES FOR A SAFE USE OF THE LPG GAS
BOTTLE
•
Liquid propane gas (LPG) is an oil product as gasoline
and methane gas. It is in the form of gas in normal
pressure and temperature conditions, if submitted to
moderate pressure inside a bottle, LPG becomes liquid.
As soon as pressure is release, liquid vaporises and be-
comes gas.
•
LPG has a smell similar to methane gas; it’s important
to recognise the smell.
•
LPG has a higher weight compared to the air one; pos-
sible LPG losses could collect on the bottom avoiding
their dispersion.
•
The LPG bottom must always be installed, moved and
stores in vertical position. Handle with care and do not
let the LPG bottles fall down.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR LPG USE
•
Never leave or move the LPG bottles in places where
temperatures could reach 51°C (too hot to handle - for
example: do not let the bottle in the car during very
hot days).
•
Treat the “empty” LPG bottles with the same attention
of those full. Even if there’s no more liquid in the bottle
some gas under pressure could be left inside. Always
close the bottle valve before disconnecting it.
•
Do not use damaged LPG bottles. Rust or dented LPG
bottles or with damages valves can be dangerous and
must be immediately replaced.
•
Check the presence of possible losses on the connec-
tion joint with the LPG bottle at each bottle connec-
tion. For example, perform the checking each time that
the bottle is filled.
•
Make sure that the regulator has been assembled with
the vent hole pointed downwards, in order to not col-
lect water. Make sure that the hole is not obstructed by
dirt, grease, bugs, etc.
