7.5.4.2 Contact Lens Database
The Easygraph has a contact lens database
containing posterior surface geometries for contact
lens fitting.
Here you yourself can decide which type of contact
lens you wish to use for fitting.
Use the
"Choose contact lens"
menu for this
purpose. To activate this function, use the
[Contact
Lens ->]
button in the
"Settings"
menu (cf. 7.5.4
page 62).
All contact lens manufacturers whose names are
stored in the PC are listed in the
"Manufacturer"
box
at the left.
Manufacturers used for fitting are listed in the
"Used
manufacturers "
box at the right.
Activating or deactivating a manufacturer in the left
box removes or adds that manufacturer's name in the
right-hand box.
Manufacturers are listed in the order in which they
were confirmed. The next manufacturer to receive
confirmation is always added at the end of the list.
The succession of manufacturers in the box on the
right determines the priority of contact lens
recommendations. If the geometric data are similar,
then the contact lenses of the manufacturer who is
higher in the list are preferable.
Note
⇒
To create a list with your own priorities, first
deactivate all manufacturers and then reactivate
them in the desired order.
Clicking a manufacturer type in the
"Used
Manufacturers "
box displays next to the box a list of
all of that manufacturer's contact lenses for which
data are available. Specific lens types of that
manufacturer can then be excluded or included, or
the priorities of the manufacturer's lens types can be
revised in the list.
The
"Use Hecht fitting software"
button turns the
[Hecht CL]
button on and off during contact lens
fitting.
[Save]
ratifies the contact lens approval which was
just given.
[Use]
uses these settings only for the current
session.
[Cancel]
returns to the previous window without
confirming the changes.
Use the
"Edit Lens Data"
box to expand the contact
lens database.
Two buttons are available for this purpose:
[Lens geometry ->]
starts a software module for
inputting new contact lens geometries (cf. next page).
[Import / Export ->]
permits new geometric data to
be loaded from or saved to a diskette (cf. 7.5.4.3.3
page 69).
