[38] The settings in the 'Original' section
'Original sheet
size' This setting has the following options.
■
'Automatic'. When you use the automatic document
feeder, sensors determine the size. When you use the
glass plate, the size is determined by the size of the
required file divided by zoom.
■
'Width' / 'Height'. You can define the size of a
non-standard size original on the glass plate. You can
increase and decrease the size in small steps of 1 mm
(US: 1/24") or large steps of 5 mm (US: 6/24").
Note:
You can define the size of an original in a scan
profile. The system uses that value for scan jobs from the
glass plate. You can change the size for the current job in
the 'File' section. The system does not use the value in the
scan profile for jobs from the automatic document feeder.
The size that the sensors detect always overrules the size
in the scan profile.
'Orientation' You can use this setting when you scan the original from
the glass plate and the original is small enough to make
a scan in 2 directions (A3 can only be scanned in 1
direction on the glass plate).
Note:
This setting is read-only for the originals that you
put in the automatic document feeder.
