To use the SMB (NTLM) of the external server authentication, [Scan Set-
ting] or [Print Setting] must be turned ON.

NTLMv2 is available from Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 4).

SMB TX

Specify whether to use SMB transmission.

NTLM Setting

Select the NTLM version to be used.
Select [v1/v2] or [v1] when using a computer over a network
that is running a Windows 98 SE or Windows Me operating
system.
Select [v1] when the Samba service is operating a server over
a network.

User Authentication (NTLM)

Specify whether to use user authentication with NTLM.
