If the thermometer is not used according to specifications, there is no
guarantee that the thermometer functions perfectly.
Battery replacement
When the battery icon
appears in the lower right corner on the display,
the battery needs to be replaced. The thermometer requires a 1,55V LR41
lithium battery.
1. The battery is replaced by turning the battery compartment lid counter-
clockwise and then removing it. Carefully remove the battery using a
pointed, non-metallic instrument.
2. Insert new battery. Make sure that the battery is placed correctly. The
+-side of the battery must turn upwards.
3. Re-attach the lid to the battery compartment and turn until it is firmly
shut.
Do I have a fever?
The normal body core temperature varies from person to person and during
the day. Similarly, the body temperature drops with age but as a general
rule the normal body core temperature remains between 36.5 °C and 37.5
°C - lower for elderly people, higher for young people. Consequently, it is
a good idea to know your own normal body core temperature as a point
of reference.
The body core temperature of a healthy human being is additionally
influenced by the following factors:
•
The person’s individual temperature (individual metabolism)
•
Clothes
•
Outdoor temperature
•
Preceding physical activity
If insecurities arise concerning measurement interpretation or if abnormal
measurement readings occur, contact your doctor. Similarly with small tem-
perature deflections with concurrent symptoms such as sweating spells, skin
flushing, unease, high pulse, fainting tendencies, etc.
Cleaning and maintenance
The probe is cleaned with a soft cotton cloth moistened with a little neutral
spirit if required. Then wipe the thermometer using a dry cloth. The ther-
mometer may under no circumstances be washed under running water or
immersed in water, diluents, or other chemical liquids. Avoid using scouring
powder or other abrasive cleaners.
Protecting the environment and disposing of batteries
Respect the environment when you replace batteries. Exhausted bat-
teries are not ordinary household waste. They should be disposed of
at authorized collection points. Make sure that the batteries are not too
old or worn out as there is a risk that they might leak acid. Check the
expiry date on the batteries. Remember to remove the batteries before
disposing of the product.
Warranty

one wishes to make a complaint. The appliance shall be returned to the store
where it was purchased.
