assigned a negative amount, in order to invert t heir effect,
so t hat t heir ranges go from -63 to +63.
The Keypad is used to select t he numerical VALUE. T he O
t hroug h 9, < > or << >> buttons are used to c hange from
one VALUE to anot her. Typing in a number t hat is out of t he
range of t he VALU E selects t he hig hest number in t he
range. If t he < > or << >> buttons are used, t hey will stop
w hen t he range limit is reached.
Type
Certain PARAMETERS have distinctive types of outputs
rat her t han a numerical amount. Take for example DC01 "06
WAVE SELECT''. T his PARAMETER gives you a c hoice of
two waveform outputs, PULSE or WAVE, a combination of
t he two labelled BOTH, and an option of turning t he
oscillator OFF for a total of four c hoices.
Most Parameters wit h output "types" have four choices of
outputs t hat you can select, alt houg h this varies from
parameter to parameter. DCO 2 "1 6 WAVE SELECT", for
example, has t he same four c hoices as DCO 1 plus a
NOISE output used for effects for a total of five c hoices.
Ot her examples would include LFO 1 "82 WAVEFORM"
and LFO 2 "92 WAVEFORM" t hat have seven options each
and "33 TRACK INPUT" t hat has 1 9.
The < and > buttons on t he Keypad are t he easiest to use
in selecting Parameter output types. T he << >> and t he
0-
9
buttons will work as well. In using t he 0-9 buttons,
"O"
is
always assigned to t he first type,
"1"
to t he second,
"2"
to
t he t hird and
"3"
to t he fourt h, etc.
