Performing a Take (X-Y Mode)
To perform a Take, select a destination, preset a source, and then execute the switch.
Note that you may preset a source and select a destination in any order.
1. Ensure the [X-Y/Mult] button is in X-Y mode (green).
2. To select a destination device:
a. Press [Dest]. All buttons appropriate for destination selection light in low
intensity amber.
The current destination appears in Column 1, the status of that destination
appears in the Status (third) column, and the levels in the destination’s level set
appear in the Lev/Dest (fourth) column.
b. Press [(category)] (for example, VTR). VTR appears in the middle of Column
1. Preset and Status columns display dashes. (If [Clear] is pressed now, the
display returns to the last selected destination.)
c. Press [(number)] or press [Scroll] and [Page Up] or [Page Dn] to select from
the available devices. The selected destination device appears in Column 1.
Level selections and presets which apply to the new destination remain and the
[Lock], [Prot], [Hold], and [Save Prst] buttons, as applicable to remaining
levels and presets are unaffected. The Status column will update accordingly.
3. To preset a source device:
a. Press [Src]. All buttons appropriate for source selection light in low intensity
green.
b. Press [(category)] (for example, VTR). VTR appears in the middle of Column
1.
c. Press [(number)] or press [Scroll] and [Page Up] or [Page Dn] to select from
the available devices. The selected number for the device appears in Column 1.
The presets will appear in Column 2 on the lines with valid levels.
4. Press [Take]. Each preset source switches to the destination shown in Column 1.
The Preset and Status columns update.
