Encoder User Manual

Network Configuration

You may connect the device via LAN or WAN. The details are as follows:

2.1

LAN

In LAN, there are two ways to access the device: 1. Access through Xcel IP Utility; 2. Direct
Access through Web Browser.

2.1.1

Access through Xcel IP Utility

Network connection:

Make sure the PC and the device are connected to the LAN and the Xcel IP Utility is installed

in the PC from the CD.

Double click the Xcel IP Utility icon on the desktop to run this software as shown below:

Modify the IP address. The default IP address of this device is 192.168.226.201. Click the

information of the device listed in the above table to show the network information on the right
hand. Modify the IP address and gateway of the device and make sure its network address is in
the same local network segment as that of the computer. Please modify the IP address of your
device according to the practical situation.
