SafeCom MFP Cable Ricoh
Connect the SafeCom MFP Cable’s white 4-pin connector to the Ricoh MFP’s FIH
connector.
On newer Ricoh MFPs:
1.
On the MFP press the
User Tools
button (<>/123).
2.
On the touch-screen click
System Settings
and then
Administrator Tools
.
3.
Click
Key Counter Management
and select the
Copier
function and
deselect the
Printer
function. Click
OK
.
4.
Click
User Authentication Management
.
5.
Select
Off
. Click
OK
. If you intend to have a mix of user authentication
methods, you should ensure that no other methods are conflicting with
the ones controlled by the SafeCom solution (that is Copy and/or Scan).
6.
Click
Exit
and
Exit
to leave
User Tools
.
On older Ricoh MFPs:
1.
On the MFP press the
User Tools
button (<>/123).
2.
On the touch-screen click
System Settings
and then
Key Operator Tools
.
3.
Click
Key Counter Management
and select
ON
for the
Copier
function
and
OFF
for the
Printer
function. Click
OK
.
4.
Click
User Code Management
and select
OFF
for the
Printer
function.
Click
OK
.
5.
Click
Exit
and
Exit
to leave
User Tools
.
Note
:
If you try to make copies without being logged in via SafeCom, the MFP’s
control panel displays
