THE USER SHOULD KEEP THIS DOCUMENT
1. INTRODUCTION
This instruction manual is split into two booklets: PART 1,
containing general information regarding our whole product
range; and PART 2, containing information specific to the
motor-driven pump you have purchased. The two publications
are complementary to each other, so make sure you have
both.
Comply with the instructions contained in them to get the
most out of your motor-driven pump and assure its proper
operation. If you need further information, get in touch with
your nearest authorized dealer.
If information in the two parts contradict each other, take
PART 2 containing the product’s specific information as valid.

3. DESCRIPTION AND USE OF MOTOR-DRIVEN PUMP
3.1. DESCRIPTION
Description:
SUBMERSIBLE CENTRIFUGAL
MOTORDRIVEN PUMPS

3.2. USE FOR WHICH PUMPS ARE DESIGNED
The pumps can be used for lifting and distributing clean water
or water with a sand content not exceeding the limit given in
chap. 4.
The submersible motor-driven pumps are used:
– for domestic and industrial water supply systems;
– Pressure boosting systems;
– fountains;
– small and medium-sized jet or flood irrigation systems;
– for any applications involving drawing water from a well.
Use the motor-driven pumps based on their technical
specifications.
3.3. USE FOR WHICH PUMPS ARE NOT DESIGNED
The submersible motor-driven pumps must not be made to
work without water. If there is any chance of the waterbed
lowering to a point where the pump will be exposed, you will
need to install a minimum-level sensor as a safety measure.

The manufacturer reserves the right to make changes.
The pump comes with a second adhesive plate (2) to be
applied on the control panel.
4.3. INFORMATION ON AIRBORNE NOISE
Given the type of use, the motor-driven pumps do not exceed
an A-weighted sound pressure emission level of 70 dB (A).

TECHNICAL DATA FOR THE PURPOSE OF PRODUCT
IMPROVEMENTS AND UPDATING.
5. PREPARING FOR USE
WARNING
USE A ROPE FASTENED ON THE RELEVANT HOOKS
TO LIFT OR LOWER THE PUMP: NEVER USE THE
POWER CORD (WHEN HANDLING THE TDN1200 UNIT,
REMEMBER NEVER TO PULL THE FLOAT CABLE AND
SWITCH - FIG. 2)
To install TDN1200 series pumps, proceed as directed in PART
1, chapter 7 and in the following points:
5.1. TDN1200 (FIG. 1)
a) Make sure, when lowering the motor-driven pump into a
well or tank, that it does not sink into the slime, that the
suction filter does not get clogged and that you observe
the distances given in FIG. 1.
b) Keep an eye on the power cord when lowering the pump
into a well: it is a good idea to tie the power cord to the
delivery pipe at 2- or 3-metre intervals.
c) It is best to use rigid pipes (metal or plastic) or flexible
pipes for temporary installations, size G1

be fastened to the pump with appropriately sized clamps.
d) Secure the pipes to the edge of the tank or reservoir with
a pipe clamp bracket.
e) It is advisable to install a nonreturn valve on the delivery
line at least 4m from the delivery port when operating
conditions are expected to be demanding.
f) Motor-driven pumps feature a small amount of oil (the
food kind), which does not present a source of health
risk.
