RECOGNITION OF LICENSE PLATES
•
The width of the license plate should be between 6% and 50% of the camera's field of view
•
Where additional lighting (infrared or visible) is used, the position of the light source must be
such as to preclude the formation of glare or overexposure.
The angle of inclination of the license plate
After installing the camera, log in to its web panel and check the angle of the license plate in relation to
the horizontal. The angle of inclination should be between
- 5 ° and +5 °.
If the angle of inclination of the license plate is not within these limits, the camera position must be
corrected.
7.2. Camera configuration
After the camera is properly installed, make the appropriate configuration.
In the "Config - > Event - > ANPR - > Detection config" menu, there are options related to license plate
recognition:
•
Selecting the "Enable" option (checked by default) - enables the recognition of license plates
•
Save panoramic picture / Save target cutout - allows you to save the entire frame and/or a photo
of the license plate itself on the memory card
•
Alarm holding time - setting the alarm duration after recognition of the license plate
•
Trigger SD snap, Trigger SD recording, Trigger e - mail, Trigger FTP - reaction options to license
plate recognition, respectively: saving a photo to a memory card, triggering video recording on a
memory card, sending an e
- mail, saving a photo on an FTP server
The license plate recognition options are preconfigured to ensure proper operation of the
recognition algorithms for most installations. In special cases, when problems with recognition
occur, first verify the correctness of the installation. Once you are satisfied that the installation
requirements are met, you can modify the configuration options accordingly.
