Max Log Disk Space: Specify the amount of disk space you want the limit to be for log files.
When the limit is reached, the gateway deletes the oldest file until the space occupied is under
the maximum allowable limit. The default value is 1024 KB.
If you set the limit to zero (0), there will be no disk space limit for log files.

Click OK to save the log settings.
ConsoleOne passes the updated log settings to the Notes Gateway so that the new log settings
are in force immediately.
Corresponding Startup Switches
You could also use the /log , /loglevel , /logdays , and /logmax startup switches in the Notes
Gateway startup file ( notes.cfg ) to control logging.
Notes Gateway Web Console
You can view the Notes Gateway log files and change the log settings for the current Notes
Gateway session by clicking the Log Settings link on the
Log Files page. You can also view and
modify log settings at the Notes Gateway server console on the server where the gateway is
running, as listed in
“Menu Summary” on page 69 .
Using SNMP Monitoring Programs
You can monitor the Notes Gateway from the Management and Monitoring component of Novell
ZENworks
®
or any other SNMP management and monitoring program. When properly
configured, the Notes Gateway sends SNMP traps to network management consoles for display
along with other SNMP monitored programs.
During installation, you had the opportunity to configure the Notes Gateway for SNMP.
If you did not select SNMP support during installation, there is currently no way to add the
functionality short of uninstalling the Notes Gateway and reinstalling it. See

Notes Gateway” on page 42
