North Wing S-LSA Maintenance Manual

bolts, two on the inside and one large bolt on the outer side of the wheel pant along with a
spacer between the pant and the axle on the outer bolt. The newer style uses the same two bolt
design on the inside, but uses a support rod with a short plate with two bolt holes on the end of
the rod for much smaller mounting bolts. Both are shown below.

1.

Remove the two bolts on the inside (or backside) of the wheel pants using a 3/8”
wrenches.

2.

For the earlier design with only one long bolt on the outside, remove the long bolt
holding the outer side of the pant along with the 2 7/8” spacer. This AN 5-33A bolt is
threaded into the end of the wheel axle. When you remove this bolt, a long nylon
spacer will fall out of the wheel hub.
