Chapter 6 Remote Node setup

PPPoE Encapsulation

The Business Secure Router supports PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over 
Ethernet). You can only use PPPoE encapsulation when you are using the 
Business Secure Router with a DSL modem as the WAN device. If you change 
the Encapsulation to 

PPPoE, 

you then see 

Figure 27

for more information about PPPoE.

Service Name

If you are using 

PPPoE

 encapsulation, then type the 

name of your PPPoE service here. Only valid with 

PPPoE 

encapsulation.
