VE Bulk Unloaders, 125-mm Frame

Part 1608271-04

2019 Nordson Corporation

CAUTION:

To prevent damage to the follower plate seals, do not use

petroleum-based products. Use O-ring grease.

8. Coat the follower plate seals (6) with O-ring grease.
9. Place the container of material between the drum centering shoes (5)

and center it under the follower plate (7).

10. Remove the bleeder stem (9) from the bleeder stem/blow-off port (8) to

relieve any air trapped under the follower plate (7).

WARNING:

Wear protective colthing, gloves, and safety glasses when

lowering the follower plate into the container. The expelled air from under

the follower plate may contain material.

11. Press and hold in the

Ram Down

push buttons at the same time to

manually lower the follower into the pail. When the follower enables the

Follower in Pail

switch, release the

Ram Down

push buttons.

12. Perform the following:

a. When material starts to continuously flow from the bleeder

stem/blow-off port (8), press and release the

Ram Up

push button to

stop ram movement.

b. Install the bleeder stem (9) into the bleeder stem/blow-off port and

tighten securely. Use a rag to remove excess material around the

bleeder stem/blow-off port.

13. Press and hold in the

Ram Up

push buttons at the same time to start

automatic ram movement.

14. Open the air motor ball valve (1).
