Unit Number
When multiple transmitters are used, there must be a means to identify one transmitter from another. The
first setting identifies transmitter ‘1’, which carries channels 1-8. Transmitter ‘1’ is the master unit. All
other transmitters are slaves, which means their timing is controlled by the Sync Output of the ‘1’
transmitter.
The second transmitter ID setting identifies transmitter ‘2’, which carries channels 9-16. Similarly, setting
three identifies transmitter ‘3’, used for channels 17-24.
If you have a system with more than one transmitter, each transmitter will be identified with the label ‘1’,
‘2’, or ‘3’.
Turn the transmitter off before setting the unit number. As pictured on the preceding page, the control for
“setting the unit number” is on the left side. This control is set using a screwdriver. To “set” a transmitter
to transmitter “1”, the “slot” in the “set screw” would be in a horizontal or ‘9 o’clock’ position, as shown in
the picture. To change or “set” the transmitter to 2 or 3, gently turn the “set screw” clockwise. As the “set
screw” is turned, it will click into place at each setting (e.g. one click for unit 2, and two clicks for unit 3).
Transmitter 1 must always be active to perform measurements.
Transmitters 2 or 3 will not perform measurements unless transmitter 1 is
also in use. Transmitter 1 is the only unit that can operate on its own.
