This chapter describes the boot manager commands.
Variables
A number of variables are stored by the boot manager in nonvolatile memory.
You can set and view most variables from the boot manager prompt. The
following sections describe how to view and set the variables. The variables
are:

Description
boot manager
revision
The version number of the boot manager. This variable
cannot be set from the command line.
autoboot
If autoboot is set to no, the IP350 or IP380 appliance stops
at the boot manager command line during the boot process.
If autoboot is set to yes, the IP350 or IP380 appliance does
not stop at the boot manager command line during a boot
up. It does wait for the amount of time specified in
bootwait
for input from the keyboard. If input is received,
the boot manager goes to the command line; otherwise, it
proceeds with the boot up.
Factory default: yes.
bootwait
The amount of time, in seconds, that the boot manager waits
for input during a boot up when autoboot is set to yes.
Factory default: five seconds.
