CHAPTER PROPERTIES

This chapter provides a preventive mainte-
nance schedule with the necessary proce-
dures. Tools required are those normally
available in any organizational tool shop.

NOTE:

Consult the Cummins “Operation and

Maintenance B Series Engines” manual in-
cluded with this manual when so directed.

Also, guidelines for repairing the tractor are
located on the last two pages of this chapter.
Before attempting to repair the tractor, be fa-
miliar with the information on these pages.

3.2

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND
INSPECTION

Use the engine hour meter to keep track of
when preventive maintenance is required.

Use the table below to schedule your main-
tenance.

NOTE:

Recommended service intervals

are for normal operating conditions. Ser-
vice MORE OFTEN if machine is operating
under sandy, dusty, or wet conditions.

NEGLECTING MAINTE-

NANCE CAN RESULT IN FAILURES OR PER-
MANENT DAMAGE TO TRACTOR
