• Cleaning by Removing the Roller

According to the soiling condition of the cleaning roller, the roller should be
periodically taken out of the printer for cleaning.

(1) Switch off the power switch of the printer. Open the cover, and remove the ribbon

cassette and the cleaning cassette.

(2) Holding the axis of the cleaning roller, remove the cleaning roller by lifting it up

diagonally in the rightwards direction.

(3) Wipe the surface of the cleaning roller with a soft cloth that has been moistened

with water and tightly wrung, to clean off dust and dirt. At this time, take care not
to scratch the roller surface.

(4) After the roller surface has completely dried, set the roller in the printer. Insert the

tip of the axis (pointed side) into the far side roller hole, then set the roller by
pressing down the near side axis until there is a clicking sensation.
