Note

(5) Lift up the setting lever.

The cleaning auxiliary roller will be locked, and the cleaning tape will be set.

The cleaning tape should be aligned with the auxiliary roller, and should be
in  a  tensioned  condition.  In  the  situation  where  the  tape  is  not  tensioned,
lower the setting lever to release the locking of the cleaning auxiliary roller,
and  remove  the  cleaning  cassette. Then  wind  in  the  cleaning  tape  to
eliminate the tape slackness. If printing is carried out when the tape is in a
slack  condition,  it  will  cause  the  tape  to  be  wound  around  the  cleaning
roller and become jammed.
