Step 1 Turn the Camera On and Select

This section describes taking pictures in

(auto) mode, an automatic, “point-and-
shoot” mode recommended for first-time users of digital cameras.

Press the power switch to turn on the camera.
The power-on lamp (green) will light for a moment and
the monitor will turn on. The lens will also extend.
Proceed to step 4 when
