5.5.1 Cleaning of Spark Plug and Adjustment of Gap
■ Cleaning of Spark Plug
Use the following models of spark plug.
TJ27E, TJ35E : NGK BMR7A
GX25, GX35 : NGK CMR5H
Stop the engine and make sure that the engine is sufficiently cooled down before starting the cleaning.
Remove the spark plug cap.
Remove the spark plug with the box wrench.
Clean the electrode with a spark plug cleaner or a wire brush.
Slightly screw the spark plug into the engine by hand.
Securely tighten it with the box wrench.
Securely insert the spark plug cap into the spark plug.
■ Adjustment of Gap
Adjust the external electrode with a
thickness gauge so that the electrode
gap should be 0.6 to 0.7mm.
