styrene or other materials inside the tube of the motor.
- The power supply must be fitted with a device that
enables the tubular motor to be disconnected from the
mains. The device must have an opening distance bet-
ween contacts that allows complete disconnection in the
conditions envisaged by overvoltage category III in ac-
cordance with the rules of installation. This device is not
supplied with the product.
- If the power cable is damaged, the product cannot be
used as the cable cannot be replaced. Therefore contact
the Nice Technical Assistance.
• Installing the wall-mounted control
pushbuttons
Warnings:
- Position the pushbuttons in sight of the shutter but far
from moving parts.
- Position the pushbuttons to the side of the shutter, in the
location of the power cables routed from the tubular
motor and the electric mains.
- Position the buttons at a height of at least 1.5 m from the
floor.
Warning!
- Incorrect connections could cause failures and haz-
ardous situations.
- The connections indicated in this manual must be fully
respected; if in doubt, do not try to experiment but con-
sult the relevant technical specifications which are also
available on the web site www.niceforyou.com .
Refer to the electrical layout in
fig. 6
for the connections.
The tubular motor power supply cable has 4 wires:
– Brown:
= Up electrical phase;
– Black:
= Down electrical phase;
– Blue:
= Common (normally connected
to the Neutral);
– Yellow-Green:
= Ground (protective
electrical bonding).

This product is a component for tubular motors used to
automate rolling shutters and sun awnings. More specifi-
cally, it is an electromechanical head assembled on the
bodies of motors in the series “MAX” produced by Nice
(
fig. 3
).
Any other use is strictly prohibited! The manufacturer
declines all liability for damage resulting from improper
use of the product and other than as specified in this
manual.
The product has the following features:
- powered via the electrical mains at 230 V;
- designed to move the shutter in
Ascent
and
Descent
by
means of wall-mounted pushbuttons (not supplied in
pack); the model
One Max H
is also equipped with a
mechanism for emergency manual manoeuvres, for use
in the event of a power failure;
- it is fitted with an electromechanical type limit switch
which interrupts power supply when the shutter reaches
the opening and closing limits;
- the entire tubular motor is installed inside the shutter
roller and the external face of this product can be mount-
ed directly alongside the casing or by means of the rela-
tive support brackets (not supplied in pack);
- it is designed for residential use, i.e. discontinuous. It
guarantees a continuous operating time of maximum 4
minutes;
- it is fitted with a thermal cut-out which in the event of
overheating due to use of the automation in excess of the
set limits, automatically shuts off the power supply and
only restores operation when the temperature returns
within the normal range.
• Preliminary checks – Application limits
Caution!
– Before proceeding with installation, check
the condition of the product components, suitability of
the selected model and conditions of the intended
installation environment.
- Check that the technical specifications of the selected
“Max-Motor” (rated motor torque, rotation speed and
operation time) are suited to the technical and environ-
mental specifications for the shutter.
NEVER install a
“Max-Motor” model with a motor torque greater than
that required to move the shutter.
- There are various versions of this product avail-
able, each designed to manage a specific motor
torque
(power)
. Therefore do NOT install this
product if not compatible with the selected mo-
tor torque for your shutter.
- Check the internal diameter of your shutter roller, with ref-
erence to the following:
–
for Max-Motor models with torque up to 35 Nm, the
minimum internal diameter of the roller must be 52 mm;
–
for Max-Motor models with torque greater than 35 Nm,
the minimum internal diameter of the roller must be 60
mm.
• Tubular motor assembly
To assemble and install the tubular motor, refer to
fig. 4.
In
particular, in phase “
a
” of fig. 4 use a screw type HI-LO, 4 x
8 UNI 9707, without tip.
Warning!
– apart from being a
source of danger, using the incorrect screw could also
permanently damage the head.
For model One Max H
The handgrip of the manual operation mechanism must be
positioned no higher than 1.8 m.
Caution!
- Incorrect installation can lead to serious injury.
- Before assembly, ensure that there are no pieces of poly-
