Step 17: Setting the posts for the bow of the ship 

•

 

Using the three 1575mm 90mm x 90mm posts provided place them in the position that they 
will ultimately be in. The front post will measure 2.7m from the outside of the tower posts 
and be directly in the centre. The other two posts are placed at 1300mm from the tower 
posts and they are set 90mm inside these posts, this is to allow the bow to take a curved 
shape. The angle will be determined by the 3m Tongue and Groove boards, as these need to 
be longer than the distance from the outside of the tower post to the top of the bow post, 

allowing about 6” overhang to allow for the bend in the boards
