Electrodes and Electrode Care

5. After repeated use the

electrodes

lose their stickiness. Dampen the surface of the

electrodes

with water by running two fingers under a tap then wiping across the

electrode

a couple of times and then leave for a few seconds to dry. This rehydrates the

electrode

and

also removes any debris from the surface. If this is not successful in restoring the stickiness,

replace the

electrodes

.

Electrodes

should also be replaced if they become worn, pitted, damaged or

contaminated.

A pair of

electrodes

should last about three to four weeks of daily use.

Replacing

electrodes

regularly helps to prevent skin irritation.
