SIM PIN Management
The SIM PIN Management option allows you to manage the functionality of your SIM card PIN. This refers to the
SIM card of your attached im240 Wireless Modem or Nextel Mobile Phone. The SIM PIN Management option
allows you to:

Enable your SIM card PIN
•
Disable your SIM card PIN
•
Change your SIM card PIN
Enabling Your SIM Card PIN
Once you run the Nextel Connection Manager software and insert the im240 Wireless Modem into the PCMCIA
slot on your laptop, you may want to enable the PIN number for your SIM card. The SIM card PIN protects your
im240 Wireless Modem unauthorized use, since only users with the proper password may gain access to the
capabilities of the im240 Wireless Modem. To enable your SIM card PIN, follow the steps below.
1 Insert the im240 Wireless Modem into the PCMCIA slot on your laptop. Make sure the detachable L-shaped
antenna is attached to the modem before you insert the modem into your PC.
2 To run the software, click the
Nextel Connection Manager
icon located on your desktop.
3 The main user interface screen appears. Click
SIM
PIN Management
