6. Make sure that the new RAID Controller is right-side up. The Host ports should be at the top.

7. Insert the RAID Controller into the slot and carefully slide it back until the spring lock tab clicks.

8. Attach all communication cables (Fibre Channel/10Gb iSCSI/SAS, Ethernet, serial) to the appropriate

connectors on the new RAID Controller.

9. In the graphical user interface (GUI), go to the

Home

page and verify that the status bar for the new

RAID Controller is green. See

Home Page

Note

One of the two Controllers will be grayed out on the

Home

page. This is normal and only serves to

indicate which Controller you are currently accessing the graphical user interface (GUI) through.
