The Nexsan E60™/E60V™/E60VT™/E60P™ and Nexsan E48™/E48V™/E48VT™/E48P™ units are 4U,
rack-mountable RAID storage systems which can hold up to 48 or 60 SATA, SAS, or SSD data disks.
The base models of the Nexsan E60™ and Nexsan E48™ use 3Gb/s SAS for internal communication
between the RAID Controllers and hard disks. The V VT and P variants use 6Gb/s SAS for internal
communication. The VT variants also have a turbo card installed in each RAID Controller which optimizes
sequential writes in parity-based RAIDs. There is no upgrade path between the base models and either the V
or VT variants. It is possible to convert a V or VT variant to P specification.
Aside from the difference in internal communication speed and the presence of the turbo card in the VT units,
there is no operational difference between the base models and the V and VT variants. The P variant provides
more host ports and uses different serial and expansion connectors.

only one variant, that variant is specified.
