To permit free airflow, make sure the front grille is kept free of dust and 
lint. 

 

The unit should be defrosted about every 4-6 weeks or when frost on the 
ice maker walls is excessive (1/4” or thicker). To defrost the unit, turn it off, 
remove/discard any existing cubes and keep door open by at least two 
inches. You may want to place a towel underneath the open door to soak 
up any water. Do not scrape off the frost with anything except a plastic 
scraper.

AILURE TO UNPLUG THE ICE MAKER PRIOR TO CLEANING MOVING OR SERVICING 

COULD RESULT IN ELECTRICAL SHOCK OR PERSONAL INJURY

1.

 

Turn the on/off switch to the “off” position, unplug the ice maker and 
remove the ice bucket.  

2.

 

Wash the inside with a solution of warm water and baking soda. The 
solution should consist of about 2 tablespoons of baking soda to one quart 
of water. 

3.

 

Wash the ice bucket with a mild detergent solution. 

4.

 

Clean the outside of the ice maker with mild detergent and warm water. 

5.

 

Clean the stainless steel components of the door with stainless steel 
cleaner. 

6.

 

Vacuum the condenser coils if they are dusty or dirty. 

STORAGE 

VACATION/EXTENDED STORAGE 

1.

 

Shut off the water supply at the main water valve. 

2.

 

Disconnect the water supply line from the valve. 

3.

 

Allow the ice maker to run for 1-2 hours until all remaining ice cubes have 
been ejected, all water has cycled through the system. 

4.

 

Disconnect the unit from the main power source. 

5.

 

Dry out excess water from the ice make assembly.
