Replacing System Components
You can replace failed components such as power supplies, fans, and the system battery.
This section explains how to replace failed components.
You might need to access the inside of the system to replace failed components.
To access the inside of the system:
1.
First, grasp the two handles on either side and pull the unit straight out until it locks (you
will hear a “click”).
2.
Next, depress the two buttons on the top of the chassis to release the top cover. You can
then lift the top cover from the chassis to gain full access to the inside of the system
.
WARNING!
Care must be taken to ensure that the chassis cover is in place
when the system is operating to assure proper cooling. Out of
warranty damage to the system can occur if this practice is not
strictly followed.
