Determining if You Need a Crossover Cable

One method of determining if you need a crossover cable is to
plug the Ethernet cable from the hub or modem into your laptop
computer's Ethernet port. If the laptop computer can communicate
through the Ethernet port, then the site requires a crossover
Ethernet cable to be compatible with the Gateway.
