4. INSTALLATION AND METHOD FOR USE
A. Preliminary precautions
Warning
Before positioning the BiliCocoon on the fixation system, check the Pad's irradiance (see the
BiliCocoon™ System user manual).
If the check is not carried out before each use, there is risk of under-exposure, and therefore
ineffectiveness of the treatment, or over-exposure.
Warning
Ensure that the fixation system is not chipped or damaged, and that there are no sharp edges
that could cause harm.
Warning
Ensure that the fixation system is clean and unmarked. If necessary, clean it with a suitable
cleaning product, such as water or the products specified in this manual.
Warning
Ensure that the holding claw is properly attached to the fixation bracket and that there are no
missing screws. Check that the mobile hinge can be tightened without any obstruction.
Warning
Check that the holding claw is not damaged nor chipped.
Warning
Also check that the two fixation hooks are in good condition and are not damaged nor
chipped.
Warning
The fixation system is designed to be attached to a stand (mounting pole or bed). Check that
this stand is solid, stable and sturdy, and that it is between 1 and 5 cm wide. Check the stand
(fixation pole or bed) is stable before and after mounting the system. Check the full
BiliCocoon™ System is stable before using the system to avoid the fall of the BiliCocoon™
System.
Warning
Check that the holding claw is properly screwed on and that it is flush with the stand.
Warning
Check that the fixation system is mounted at a suitable height and that it is positioned so it
can be easily reached. Check the Light Box
™ ventilation holes are not obstructed.
Warning
Check that the Light
Box™ is correctly positioned on the fixation system.
