2.
Read and understand the tool labels and instruction manual.
Failure
to heed the warnings could result in serious injury.
3.
Operators and others in the workplace should wear impact
-
resistant
safety glasses with side shields.
4.
Operators and others
in the workplace should wear hearing protec-
tion.
5.
Use protective clothing.
6.
Protect the device against moisture.
7.
Keep children away from the tool.
8.
Never attempt to work in an unstable position, e.g. working on a lad-
der.
9.
Never exceed the permissible maximum o
perating pressure.
10.
Check the correct operation of the safety mechanism (contactor)
and the trigger every day.
Never use the tool if any element is not
working properly!
Pressure protection system
Use of stapler equipped with pressure protection system
Place tip of the tool in planned working spot. Stapler trigger should
be released at this time.
Tip of the protection system has been pressed against the working
spot. Pressing the trigger will drive a staple.
Release the stapler trigger after driving each staple. Put the stapler
to another spot it will be used at. Repeat above described procedure.
Checking pressure protection system functioning
Disconnect compressed air supply from the tool.
Empty the stapler clip.
Ensure the stapler trigger and the
tip of protection system can move
freely up and down.
Connect the stapler to a compressed air supply.
Press the protection system tip against working place, do not press
the trigger. The stapler should not actuate. Do not use a stapler that
actuated in this test.
Release pressure on the stapler. Tip of the protection system should
return to its default, bottom position. Press the stapler trigger. The
stapler should not actuate. Do not use a stapler that actuated in this
test.
Loading the stapler
When connecting or disconnecting compressed air supply do not
allow your hand or other part of your body to get into area of stapler
operation.
Never point outlet of the stapler at yourself or any other person.
Disconnect hose for compressed air supply.
Press the stapler clip latch. Pull the clip cover backwards.
Insert batch of staples into the clip. Ensure all staples are inserted
properly, with ends pointed downwards. Ensure staples are not dirty
or damaged.
Slide the clip cover forward so the clip latch snaps in position.
Always disconnect compressed air supply from the stapler before
starting to remove jam, maintenance, adjustment or when you plan
to leave the stapler unused for a long time.
When operating the stapler use protection measures, such as anti
-
sp
linter goggles or glasses and earmuff protectors. Wear protective
helmet when appropriate.
Do not use control valve or any other tip that would allow com-
pressed air to remain in the tool.
Using the stapler
Warning
PROTECT EYES AND EARS USE ANTI
-
SPLINTER GOGGLES OR
GLASSES AND EARMUFF PROTECTORS. PROVIDING INFOR-
MATION TO PERSONS NEARBY ABOUT NECESSARY PRECAU-
TION MEASURES MENTIONED ABOVE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF
THE EMPLOYER OR THE USER.
Caution!
CHECK YOUR STAPLER AND REPLACE DAMAGED PARTS BE-
FORE USING THE TOOL WHENEVER NECESSARY. ALL LABELS
WITH WARNINGS MUST ALSO BE REPLACED IN CASE THE ORIGI-
NAL ONES ARE NOT READABLE.

Put few drops of lubricating oil into air inlet.
Connect quick coupler to the stapler.
Fig. 2
Empty the stapler clip.
Fig. 3
Connect the stapler to air compressor with
flexible hose with inside diameter 3/8”. Ensure
the hose is marked, that working pressure must
not exceed 100 psi (0.7 MPa) and it ends with
female quick coupler connector.
Fig. 4
Adjust air supply pressure so the stapler
receives pressure from its working range
60
–
100 psi (0.4
–
0.7 MPa).
Disconnect air supply from the stapler.
Fig. 5
Load staples into the stapler, follow instructions
given in this manual in p. 3.
Ensure staples are driven correctly, try it on exemplary piece of
wood. When staples are not driven to desired depth, increase
pressure to achieve necessary penetration. However, do not
exceed pressure 100 psi (0.7 MPa)!
Caution!
Disconnect compressed air supply from the
stapler before lubricating.
Lubricate the stapler with oil before using it for the first time.
•
Wipe excessive oil on the stapler outlet. Excessive oil might damage
O
-rings used in the tool. If oiler is in the line of compressed air supply
there is no need
to lubricate the stapler daily.
•
Turn the stapler so air inlet points upwards and put a drop of spindle
oil. Do not use oil with detergent additives or similar. Use the stapler
shortly after carrying out lubrication.
Air supply and connectors
Many users consider using oiler a good practice, as it helps to deliver
lubricating oil to the stapler and improves efficiency and durability of the
tool. Check oil level in the oiler daily.
Many users consider using a filter a good practice, it helps to remove
water and contaminations from the air, which otherwise could cause
corrosion or wear of internal parts of the stapler. Filter also improves
efficiency and durability of the tool. Check condition of the filter daily
and drain excessive water when necessary
.
The most efficient operation can be achieved when the stapler is
connected with 3/8” quick coupler (with internal diameter 0.315”) and
3/8” connector to hose for compressed air supply.
Removing a jam in the stapler
Warning
BEFORE STARTING TO ADJUST, REMOVE A JAM, CARRY THE
TOOL OR LEAVING IT UNUSED FOR A LONG TIME, ALWAYS
DISCONNECT THE STAPLER FROM COMPRESSED AIR SUPPLY.
Staple jammed in the stapler outlet.
Disconnect compressed air supply.
Take hold of jammed staple with tweezers and remove it.
Staple jammed inside the clip.
Disconnect compressed air supply.
Slide the clip cover backwards.
Remove jammed staple.
Slide the clip cover back so the clip latch snaps.
Cleaning the stapler
Danger!
NEVER USE PETROL OR ANY OTHER FLAMMABLE LIQUID FOR
CLEANING THE STAPLER. VAPOURS REMAINING INSIDE THE
TOOL MIGHT CAUSE STAPLER TO EXPLODE IN CASE OF SPARK-
ING, THIS IS A RISK OF FATAL OR HEAVY INJURY OF THE USER’S
OR BYSTANDERS’ BODY.
Caution!
SOFTENING FLUIDS USED FOR CLEANING TIP OF THE TOOL MAY
CAUSE SOFTENING STAPLE COAT MATERIAL, THUS CAUSING
FASTER DEPOSITION OF ITS REMAININGS. DRY THE STAPLER
THOROUGHLY AFTER CLEANING, BEFORE STARTING TO USE IT.
Disconnect compressed air supply from the stapler.
Remov
e deposition of sticky substance with kerosene, diesel oil or
other solvent. Do not allow used fluid to get inside the stapler, it may
damage the tool. Dry the stapler carefully before next use.
