On the RS:X there is the option to use the adjustable downhaul to be able to trim the

sail to fit the conditions.
When the wind is light you can release the downhaul while sailing and when the

wind pick’s up you can add some downhaul. Also you can change to the personal

preference of releasing in the down-wind and adding in the up-wind.

This together with the Adjustable Outhaul Kit will make it possible to trim the sail

anywhere in between 3 and 35 knots.
