Slide the cage back into the chassis as far as it will go.

Fixed S-ATA Hard Disk Drives

Installing a Fixed S-ATA Drive into the Cage

A: Hard disk drive screws

B: Fan bay

C: Thumb screws

1. 

Remove the right side door. 

See “Removing the Right Side Door” on page 122.

2. 

Remove the front panel. 

See “Removing the Front Panel” on page 125.

3. 

Remove the 4 thumbscrews (C) holding the cage to the chassis.

4. 

Slightly pull out the hard disk drive cage.

5. 

Disconnect the data and power cables.

Caution

Be careful when working around the cables connected to the
already installed drives.

When disconnecting cables, but be sure to note which device
each cable or power lead was attached to.
