6-6     Minitower Repair

Front 3 1/2-Inch Drive Removal

Remove the 3 1/2-inch drive as follows.

1. 

Remove the system unit cover as previously described (see “System Unit Cover
Removal” in this section).

2. 

Label and disconnect the cables attached to any hard disk drive installed in the
front 3-1/2-inch drive slot.

3. 

Remove the four screws, two to a side, securing the drive (see Figure 6-7).

Slide the drive out toward the rear of the system.
