3-22   Disassembly and Reassembly

System Board Removal

Remove the system board as follows.

1. 

Ensure that all external cables are disconnected from the rear of the system.

2. 

Remove the left side cover (see “Removing the Left Side Cover” earlier in
this section).

3. 

Remove all expansion boards and the AGP board (see “Expansion Board
Removal” and “AGP Board Removal” earlier in this section).

4. 

Tag and unplug all cables from the system board.

5. 

Remove the seven screws securing the system board to the chassis.

6. 

If the system board is being replaced, remove the processor cartridge and the
DIMM module(s) from the board and install them on the new board.
