B-12 System Specifications

Audio Support

Your system is equipped with the Crystal audio subsystem.
The wavetable synthesizer is available as an upgrade. With
the wavetable synthesizer upgrade installed, the onboard
sound must be disabled. Details follow.

The optional AWE64D synthesizer integrates the Crystal
audio subsystem (described above), general MIDI processor
and wavetable. This wave synthesis results in richer and
more realistic sounds than that of FM synthesis. The
wavetable synthesizer has the following additional features:

Compliance with general MIDI

Compliance with MPU-401 UART mode

64 simultaneous voices.

Back panel audio jacks (line in, line out, mic in)

CD-ROM audio connector (both CD and ATAPI)

Telephony connector (ATAPI style)

Supports hardware wavetable.
